Backyard Monsters Unleashed is a strategy game created by Kixeye for Mobile Devices. It is a "spiritual successor" to Backyard Monsters on the Facebook Platform, and although heavily based on Backyard Monsters, also underwent several changes.
Backyard Monsters Unleashed (often dubbed BYM:U) was the first mobile game released by Kixeye, and was available for Beta testing in New Zealand initially, before the announcement that Backyard Monsters would no longer be supported. It was later available in Canada starting from the 18th of October 2013. It was released globally for iOS on 30th October 2013, and was met with intial success.
Backyard Monsters Unleashed works with any iOS device with a version of iOS 6 or later.
